Marsh Junior High School Athletics

Marsh Junior High believes that an athletics program can benefit junior high students in many ways that are valuable to both the student and to our society:
  • Develop scholarship, health, strength, agility, coordination skills, recreational interests, physical fitness and habits of clean living
  • Learn sportsmanship, fair play, honesty and respect for rules and authority
  • Develop qualities of cooperation, teamwork, competition, leadership, initiative, responsibility, subordination of self to the welfare of the team and school, self-respect, courtesy for others, perseverance and courage
  • Have fun with fellow students and visiting teams


Dear Families - 
On behalf of the Chico High School and Pleasant Valley High School Athletics Department, we welcome you to the upcoming 2024-2025 school year!
Students interested in participating in high school athletics will need to complete the athletic clearance process and sports physical before joining a high school sports team.  
2024-2025 Physical Night
In an effort to help prepare your athlete for the upcoming season, Chico Unified will be hosting the annual 2024-2025 Physical Night.
Pleasant Valley High School: 
  • When: Monday, May 6, 2024
  • Time: 5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Varley Gym
Chico High School: 
  • When: Wednesday, May 15, 2024
  • Time: 5:30 p.m.
  • Location: Main Gym
Additional 2024-2025 Physical Night Information
  • Any student interested in participating in athletics needs a physical for CHS/PVHS sports (for the 2024-2025 school year).
  • $10 Donation
  • Physical forms are available at both high schools and all three junior high school offices or can be printed online.
    • Please be sure to complete and sign page one (1) of the physical formand bring it with you.
  • Students will need to complete the online clearance before participating in any tryouts or summer sports conditioning programs.
